Steve Craft

Steve was born and raised in Clarkston. He is a 1978 graduate of Clarkston High School, and continues to reside in Clarkston today where all three of his children have graduated from Clarkston High School. Steve continued his education and graduated from Ferris State University in 1983 with a degree in Marketing and Computer Sciences. While attending Ferris State, Steve joined the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and remains very close to his brothers and the fraternity to this day. A fraternity brother helped Steve join Allstate as an agent owner in 2005. Since then Steve has opened two additional offices, one in Grand Blanc that opened in 2008 and a second Clarkston agency opened in 2011. Steve has been married to his wife Karla for over 30 years. They met at Ferris State and have 3 children. Steve enjoys golfing, skiing, attending sporting events, and most of all spending time with his family. Steve has been a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Clarkston his entire life.

Steve joined the agency in 2014 as a licensed commercial sales producer. Our agency is often asked to provide coverage for commercial risks, so we made a decision to bring on staff a dedicated commercial person. Steve’s role is to provide our clients with the proper coverage to insure their business risks. Steve has over 35 years of insurance experience. Steve resides in Davison, and has been married for over 20 years. He enjoys golf and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dawn joined the agency in May 2011 as a licensed customer service representative. She joined us after spending four years with State Farm agencies. Dawn is very proud to call our offices her work home, and she takes tremendous pride in treating each customer with the same respect that she would want to be treated. Dawn has been licensed in the insurance industry since 2008. She is also the go-to person for “all things Allstate” within the agency. She assists with training new staff and is helpful in our ongoing training as well. Dawn resides in Clarkston, has been married to Roger for over 25 years, and is the proud mother of two daughters.

Alyssa is the daughter of Steve Craft. She works with all three agency locations, brought on to assist Steve with administrative and recruiting duties. She is a Clarkston High School graduate with the class of 2009 and earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University. She was married to her husband, Neeko, in 2013 before moving to North Carolina with him for a year and half. They returned to their hometown of Clarkston together in early 2015 and she began working with Steve Craft Agencies. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing with her dog and yoga.

Karen joined the Grand Blanc Agency in 2013 as a licensed customer service representative. She has over 5 years of experience in the insurance industry primarily as a Customer Service Specialist. Karen is the backbone of the Grand Blanc Agency and many customers know her well and rely on her for their insurance needs. Karen resides in Grand Blanc with her husband Dave. They have been married for over 25 years. Karen is very active in her church, The Pointe in Goodrich. She is also active with the Grand Blanc Art Council. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

Allstate Grand Blanc Agency welcomed Todd Jones to their staff recently.  Todd holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has taught for many years in the Flint Community School District.  Todd served in the Marine Corps and is a current member of the Patriot Guard.  He is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys riding all over Michigan.  Todd currently lives in Flushing and has a great deal of knowledge regarding motorcycles and loves talking to new people about their insurance needs.

Kristin is the newest addition to the Steve Craft Agencies, although she has been with Allstate since 2013. She is an Air Force veteran and graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Communication. She is the mother of two daughters, ages 16 and 19. Kristin is an avid dog lover and enjoys spending time on the water, traveling, and with her family. She enjoys educating people on insurance and protecting the things they have worked so hard to attain- her favorite part? Saving people money!

Chris joined the Allstate team in 2015 and he is 34 years old. He currently resides in Burton, MI with his fiancé and two daughters, ages 13 and 1, where he was born and raised. He graduated from Bentley High School in 1999 and went on to the University of Michigan-Flint. In his free time he enjoys golfing, fantasy football, and spending time with his family.

Mary has been a dedicated Customer Service Representative for 10 years and a licensed agent for 17 years.  She enjoys working in insurance and helping customers.  It is incredibly rewarding for her to work with clients, providing the best service possible and making their experience pleasant. With her vast knowledge of insurance, clients can know that their insurance needs are in good hands!

Marcus is the son of Steve Craft. He joined the staff in 2011 as a licensed sales producer and was instrumental in establishing the North Oakland Agency. Since 2011, Marcus has brought on many new clients to the agency, provided customer service to those clients, and has assisted in the role as agency manager for the North Oakland Agency. He is eager to help out with new staff as we continue to grow. Marcus possesses a wealth of knowledge about insurance and prides himself on providing the right coverage for each family. Marcus wants to be the client’s trusted advisor for all things insurance for years and years to come. Marcus graduated from Clarkston High School and attended Central Michigan University. He was married to the love of his life, Sarah, in August 2015 and they reside in Waterford. Marcus enjoys spending time with his family, golf, the NFL season, the Detroit Tigers, and attending sporting events.

Sam joined the staff in 2013 as a licensed Customer Service Representative. Coming from another Michigan insurance company, Sam was looking to expand her knowledge and experience in the Insurance industry. Graduating from Baker College with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, Sam is vital in our role to expand our agencies using our social media platforms. She has lived in Clarkston her entire life and supports the community’s small businesses. She is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending her free time doing outdoor activities such as biking, running, and kayaking.

Jimmy has lived in Clarkston for most of his life, he graduated from Clarkston High School in 2003.  He's worked in the service industry his whole career and really enjoys getting to know all different types of people. He has worked at QuickenLoans in Detroit specializing in refinance mortgages but wanted something  closer to home.  Jimmy enjoys living and working within his hometown community with Steve Craft Agencies.
